Counseling & Therapy
for your needs

Life has many ups and downs, and we shouldn’t have to go through difficult moments alone. These challenges can be an opportunity for growth, healing, and empowerment. We can collaborate to work through this together.

Whether you are struggling with a crisis, looking for a casual space to talk and reflect, or something in between, we can take on your challenges together.

Anxiety

Anxiety counseling focuses on developing effective strategies and tools to cope with stress, worry, and anxiety. This can include exploring triggers, identifying negative thinking patterns, and working to improve rumination and obsessive thoughts. Additionally, anxiety counseling can assist in reducing the physiological symptoms associated with anxiety, such as chest pain, nausea, and upset stomach.

Relationship issues

Relationship counseling can help individuals identify and express their wants and needs within a relationship. Counseling can also provide a safe space to process negative relationship patterns and explore attachment styles and how they impact relationships. For individuals in non-traditional relationships, such as polyamorous, ENM, or open relationships, counseling can offer guidance and support. Additionally, counseling can assist individuals in setting boundaries with partners, friends, and family.

Trauma

Counseling for trauma involves coping with difficult life events and developing a deeper understanding of how trauma impacts the brain, body, and relationships. This includes exploring trauma/fear responses and behavior patterns that are rooted in past experiences, empowering individuals to find a positive way forward, and finding relief, peace, and healing. Additionally, counseling can help individuals connect with their body and explore how it responds to trauma and past experiences.

Life transitions

Counseling for life transitions focuses on coping with challenging life events or changes, such as moving, relationship changes, family events, and career transitions. Counseling can help individuals identify coping skills to ease their transition, as well as improve self-care as they adjust to these changes.

Obsessive compulsive (OCD)

OCD is a mental health condition that can feel consuming or controlling. In therapy, clients can learn to cope with intrusive and obsessive thoughts by reducing compulsions and rituals. The therapeutic process may involve gradual exposure to fears and triggers, while exploring the roots of fears and what maintains behaviors. Through therapy, clients can experience relief from OCD symptoms and regain control of their lives.

Sex and sexuality

Sex therapy is a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can work through issues related to sex, desire, intimacy, and sexuality. Therapy can help clients process difficult sexual experiences and explore internalized messages around sex and sexuality. Clients may also explore gender identity and sexual orientation and work through any shame or guilt they may be experiencing around sex. Sex therapy is LGBTQIA+ affirming and welcomes clients of all sexual orientations and gender identities.

Couples counseling

Couples counseling can help partners build positive communication skills, navigate conflict, and transitions within the relationship, and work through past experiences that continue to cause pain and resentment. Additionally, counseling can help partners improve sex and intimacy in the relationship, as well as feelings of security and connection. Couples counseling also provides a space for partners to strengthen their voice within the relationship and ensure their needs are being heard.
